Deputy Director Jiri Crowder

Ms. Jiri Crowder is the Deputy Director of Air Force Resilience under the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.  She ensures the development of policies and evidence-based programs that maximize resilience and normalize help-seeking behaviors as strengths through violence prevention (suicide, domestic violence, sexual harassment/assault, workplace violence, and child maltreatment), and response education.     

Prior to her current position, Ms. Crowder was the Chief, Airman & Family Care Division, Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. She was responsible for developing and executing policies and procedures relating to Casualty and Mortuary, Warrior and Survivor Care, Honor Guard, Protocol, Airman & Family Readiness, and the Deployment Transition Center at Ramstein Air Base.  She provided expert consultation and advisement for Airman and Family Readiness Center personnel, leadership, and Spouse initiatives including Transition Assistance, Air Force Wounded Warriors, Financial Literacy, Deployment Support, Spouse Employment, Exceptional Family Member Programs, and Gold Star Family Members, to name a few. She impacted a workforce of over 300,000 Total Force Airmen and their family members and managed a portfolio of over 160 million dollars.

Ms. Crowder entered federal civil service in 1983 at RAF Alconbury, England.  She has held numerous positions at the Installation, Center, Major Command and Headquarter levels.  Her diverse background includes staffing and recruitment, Airmen and Family Programs, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, Force Support Career Field Management, and the Air Force Personnel Center’s Commander’s Action Group.
