Col Michael “Tigger” Manning is the Deputy Director for the Department of the Air Force’s Integrated Resilience Directorate. He is responsible for all matters relating to the strategic planning, research and development, and implementation of the Air Force resiliency programs to optimize Airmen performance.
Following nine years as an Air Force enlisted Airman, Col Manning entered the Air Force officer corps through Officer Training School in 2001. He has served in a variety of program management, education and training positions at the program office, squadron, group, center, and Headquarters Air Force levels, including an assignment as a Student Squadron Commander at Officer Training School.
Col Manning commanded a training support squadron and served as
deputy commander of a training group. He completed staff tours at the center, Numbered Air Force, and Headquarters Air Force levels and served as a Program Element Monitor on the Air Staff.
Prior to his current assignment, Col Manning was the Vice Commandant of the Global College of Professional Military Education, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
