RESILIENCE SPOTLIGHT : True North Warriors Training Program

At Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, active duty airmen, Department of Defense civilians and family members build connection and endurance through the 91 SFG & 5 MXG True North Warriors Training program. Three times per week, participants practice the martial art of jiu-jitsu, led by Security Forces own SSgt. Brandon Grimes and other active duty members ranging from blue to purple belts. SSgt. Chanel Jones coaches a weekly women’s self-defense class as well.

Attendance has ranged from 12 to 30 participants in a session. Members have gone on to compete in tournaments in Minneapolis and Fargo, earning multiple medals.
