Lt. Gen. Dorothy Hogg, U.S. Air Force Surgeon General, and Chief Master Sgt. G. Steve Cum, Chief of the Medical Enlisted Force, host an all call for the 87th Medical Group during a tour at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Nov. 21, 2019. During the all call, medical staff had an opportunity to address questions or concerns directed toward military medicine and the future of programs, patient care and training. Dorothy Hogg, U.S. Air Force Surgeon General, discusses the future of military medicine with the 87th Bioenvironmental Engineering team during her tour of the 87th Medical Group at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Nov. 21, 2019. Hogg toured different units within the MDG and learned of innovations and new systems the team has implemented to provide quality patient care. A new program the MDG is implementing is Sick Call; a system for Active Duty military members to receive immediate care on non-emergent illnesses in an effort to alleviate appointment loads and wait times for care.
