Team Fairchild hosted three base-wide all calls as part of the Air Force-wide Resilience Tactical Pause implemented by Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein and Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Kaleth O. Wright on August 7 at the base theater.

The all calls kicked-off a wing-wide effort to address the issues that have led to Air Force member suicides.

“This isn’t a one day event to just check the box,” said Col. Derek Salmi, 92nd ARW commander. “These all calls are in place to start a discussion we need to have going forward that involves the command teams, helping agencies and the Airmen here at Fairchild.”

This is just the beginning of an ongoing sustained effort to combat the challenges Fairchild Airmen face every day. The next phase of the pause will be within individual squadrons, the heartbeat of the Air Force. The Resilience Tactical Pause is not a “down day,” but an opportunity for leaders to engage Airmen, foster interpersonal connections and set time aside to promote trust and confidence in leadership.

“It doesn’t matter your rank, active duty status or if you are a civilian, you can make an impact on someone’s life by being the person that shows up to help them get the support they need,” said Chief Master Sgt. Jason Hodges, 92nd Air Refueling Wing command chief.
